Roasted Seaweed: Tastes Like Paper, But in a Good Way

Standard

I have recently discovered Trader Joe’s Roasted Seaweed Snacks and can’t recommend it enough! Each paper-thin piece of seaweed melts in your mouth and turns into a kind of chewy, lettuce-like texture so if you love the consistency of paper (and between us, who doesn’t?) then this is the product for you. Jokes aside, any sushi roll lover who likes the seaweed on the outside part of the roll would adore these flavorful seaweed leaves, but if you’re the type of person who avoids seaweed like the plague and tries to peel it off the sushi roll, then this product is probably not for you. (By the way, has anyone ever tried peeling it off? Is it even possible? Please comment below).

But anyhow, for those who, like myself, love seaweed this product makes a perfect snack. The entire package is only 60 calories, 4 grams fat, with zero saturated fat, zero cholesterol  and – get this – zero carbs. (It actually has two, but the 2 grams of fiber eliminate it). It contains a ton of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients but keep in mind that it also contains very high amounts of iodine so remember to only eat it only occasionally and not on a daily basis.

Disclosure: I was not paid, nor did I receive any gifts to recommend these. I am not affiliated with the company in any way. All opinions are my own.
