This winter is turning out to be colder than even the big pessimists have predicted. I am doing my best to keep my family as warm as possible and since we have awhile to go until the weather gets nicer and we can actually spend some time outdoors I have put together a list of my family’s favorite items for helping us get though this harsh winter.
Even though this cream is intended for pregnancy stretch marks, it does wonders to my hands and prevents cracks which tend to bleed during the wintertime.
I take my four month old out every day to pick up the kids and this carrier is extremely comfortable on my back and will even fit my baby once he’s a toddler. It keeps him snug and warm and gives me the freedom to go anywhere and not have to worry about lifting a stroller up the stairs.
This hat keeps my baby’s head warm and snug. I feel totally secure when I put this hat on him – I know it will help keep him toasty even when it’s in the 20’s outside.
The cold weather can really take a toll on my skin and dry it out. Fish oils are a healthy way to keep the skin hydrated on the inside and I even use a little on my lips. Carlson Fish Oils have a great taste – not at all fishy – and my kids take them every day.
My daughter and I suffer from eczema in the wintertime. We both take fish oils which help alleviate the itchiness but my daughter’s body itches all over so I use this lotion twice a day to help prevent her from scratching. So far it’s the only thing that works.
