School’s in, Summer’s out and before you know it the cold New York weather will be here. Most parents are always looking for indoor activity ideas not just for their kids, but for the entire family and a family-oriented club may be the answer. Citibabes is a club for families, located in SoHo, that has amenities for young kids as well as their parents. Many of the amenities are included in the price, such as the indoor playground and a state-of-the-art adult gym, and some require a payment. Here’s a closer look at what this incredible club has to offer:
The best thing about the club is the indoor playground. A paradise for babies and toddlers, it’s got everything an outdoor playground has and more! All three of my kids had fun exploring the playground and each was able to get some much-needed physical activity they can’t in our small apartment.
But the indoor playground is not all Citibabes has to offer kids. There is a plethora of classes for kids ranging from music to art to cooking and even a very special Summer Camp that has unique themes. In addition, Citischool offers programs for kids as young as 12 months. It is a preschool program with activities and lessons that are age-appropriate. Here is one of the classrooms: There is also a gym made especially for babies and toddlers, which has its own classes:For adults, Citibabes boasts a beautiful gym which offers classes such as yoga, martial arts and boxing, as well as personal training. There is also a Bari Studio which has several classes that combine elements of Pilates, yoga and ballet for a cardio workout that also tones the body. Here is a picture of the gym:Amenities for families are special events, seminars and workshops, exclusive deals with various brands and companies and a cafe that offers nutritious and healthy food that’s kid-friendly for even the pickiest eaters. I was thrilled to see healthy options for kids such as fruit and veggie cups, alongside some kids’ favorite snacks, such as goldfish and popcorn – for those of us who forget to pack enough snacks and always have starving kids (ahem!) Here are pictures of the cafe:Citibabes also offers the following services which are charged incrementally:
- CitiSchool, the preschool program
- Signature classes
- Personal training
- Birthday parties
- Select parenting workshops
Citibabes is located at 52 Mercer Street, New York and is near several subway stations and surrounded by lots of cool restaurants and stores.
