Restaurant Review: Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas on Long Island

IMG_8803I’m not a big fan of Italian food, that is, American Italian food. I’ve never actually tasted authentic  Italian food so when I recently had dinner at Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas, a new Italian restaurant in Garden City, Long Island, I was completely blown away. The Little Mermaid Second Screen Live: Fun & Games with Your Favorite Mermaid!

IMG_4878When I was in college I went to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show. The audience put on quite a performance. I remember feeling like part of a group in a very unique and interactive movie experience. Last week I had a similar feeling when I attended a screening of The Little Mermaid Second Screen Live. Loads of Fun at the New Yotk Cosmos Game in Long Island!

nycosmos_logoWe started with soccer classes this summer for our 4-year-old and now he’s hooked! He’s obsessed with anything soccer and loves watching it on TV. We thought it would be fun to take him to an actual live game. Turns out The New York Cosmos, a professional soccer team that play in the North American Soccer League (NASL) have very affordable tickets to their games. End Summer with a Bang (or a Splash!) at Splish Splash Water Park in Long Island

IMG_4679Everyone is getting ready for school but we still have a few warm days left this summer. If you’re looking for one last hoorah a water park may be the answer. I took my daughter who’s six to Splish Splash Water Park in Long Island and we had an amazing time! Because she’s young we focused on the kiddie slides and family-friendly rides. We enjoyed going on some slides over and over because the park wasn’t as packed. The season is ending September 2nd so take advantage of the short lines and go while it’s still hot out!
